What a differnce! 370 yds to 212 for CSU.Ken Delgadois proving rapidly he is one of the top young coaches in the country. Barring injuires I doubt any MWC team will gain much over 300 yds against the Aztec defense this season including BYU. We will see how good Byu is against UNLV this week,the Rebels have a solid defense.
Still the Aztecs do not have many play makers on offense,key receptions dropped by Lewis and Ned,fumble by Ned these are not going to win you games against good teams.This is mental stuff and if we can get past it to make those plays we have a legit shot at a bowl season.
CSU as expected sorely missed the presence of Steve Fairchild,Coach Lubick suffered from Tollners disease(let your assistants screw up the season) letting two offense coaches share coordinater duty.If he goes and gets a good O.C he wil be back on to form next year.
There was a noticeable drop off in oline and QB play as the respective coaches shared play calling etc.
This proved that SDSU is right up there in potential to win the MWC but also that key mistakes are still present and the determining factor is ,will we improve in those areas or not.
